Visual Identity
Souk is Madklubben’s new Middle Eastern restaurant, located in the heart of Aarhus. As the sister restaurant to Copenhagen’s renowned Bazaar, Souk honors the rich culinary tradition of the Middle East, where friends and family come together around the day's most important meal. The food culture draws influences from Syria and the Levant, along the Mediterranean coastline, through southern Spain, and down to Morocco in North Africa.
Our task was to develop a brand identity that captures the rustic charm of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine while reflecting the modern, minimalist spirit of Madklubben. The visual identity takes inspiration from hand-painted street signage found across the Middle East, featuring imperfect lettering and playful, characterful details.
